Hybrid power plant in Dehisor village, Kuhistoni Mastchoh district, Sughd Region

Dehisor is the farthest village in the Zeravshan valley upstream of the Zeravshan river. The village consists of 20 households and is far from the power line. About 20 years ago, the villagers created a micro-hydroelectric power station on their own, which provided them with about 3 kWh of electricity. But it was very small for the current number of inhabitants of the village, which was not enough even for lighting in the houses.

After the evaluation of the villages of the Zeravshan Valley for the installation of renewable energy sources by the German Agro Action in Tajikistan, the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe announced a tender for the installation of a hybrid power plant in the village of Dehisor. The tender was won by Tekhnologiyahoi Sabz LLC and the hybrid power plant was launched in the spring of 2022.

The power plant produces 20,000 watts of electricity per hour and has two sources of energy: solar panels with a total capacity of 12,600 watts and a micro hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 10,000 watts. Hence it is called a hybrid.

The station also has a battery power unit with a capacity of 76,800 watts. It should be noted that within the framework of the project, the solar power plant was installed from scratch, but the existing micro-hydro power plant was only modernized by replacing the generator.
